Purpose of the Association:
The non-profit association, which is a non-profit organisation, also considers itself as a Local Action Group (LAG) in terms of the European LEADER programme. Its purpose is to implement the developed regional models or “local development strategies” with the stated objectives, measures and projects in the context of the “LEADER programme 2007-2013” or the “LEADER programme 2014-2020” in its sphere of action. Furthermore, the association facilitates the region-oriented, sustainable and integrative development of the region through predictive control and the optimal coordination of tasks and measures.
In particular, this involves:
a. Funding and sustainable development of the member municipalities and their inhabitants in the fields of
Tourism, recreation and leisure industry
Wellness and health
Education/further education
Agriculture, energy and preservation of the cultural landscape
Environment and ecology
Inter-municipal development, spatial planning and regional politics
Art and culture
Business, industry and trade
b. Strengthening the regional identity in the member municipalities
c. Support for regional communities to improve the life and economic situation
d. Development, support, submission and management of projects, particularly in the context of national and international funding programmes
e. Application of regional concerns at the provincial, federal and international level
