Funding rates of LEADER Region Weinviertel Ost
The funding for LEADER projects comes largely from the European Union, and the federal and state governments provide the so-called national funding. The funding amount depends on the project type and can cover between 30% and 80% of the eligible project costs.
30% funding is granted for projects with direct income-generating activities. They are relevant to competition. If specific criteria are observed, there is a potential funding bonus of 10%.
55% funding is granted for projects with indirect income-generating activities. They are not relevant to competition. If specific criteria are observed, there is a potential funding bonus of 5%.
65% funding is granted for projects with horizontal objectives (not relevant to competition). Horizontal issues include education, youth issues, gender mainstreaming, people with special needs or migration issues. Potential funding bonus: 5%.
The aforementioned project types can not only be designed as so-called individual projects, which only relate to their own LEADER region, but also as (national) cooperation projects. The specified funding rates also apply to national cooperation projects.
Transnational cooperation projects are granted 80% funding. However, they allude to other budget allocations and they are therefore discussed and dealt with separately.
70% funding is granted for small projects. They include costs from € 2,000.00 up to max. € 5,700.00. If specific criteria are observed, there is a potential funding bonus of 5%.
If a LEADER project is also covered by another funding measure, the limitations of this measure can be applied in terms of funding intensity.
