regional value enhancement

 

Our aim is to transform the eastern Weinviertel into an attractive place to work and live. We hope to create initiatives for (young) people who want to start their career in the Weinviertel and improve networking between schools and companies. Another one of our aims is to promote digitalisation, innovation and reducing the number of vacant properties in urban areas. Ultimately, the overarching goal of the LEADER Region Weinviertel Ost is to stimulate regional economic circulation and heighten awareness of our regional products. We also plan to sustainably develop tourist infrastructure. We’re looking for dedicated project sponsors who share our passion for the region. Let's work together to unravel the full potential of the Weinviertel moving forward.

Economic.Impulses

 

Revitalising town centres is crucial for the eastern Weinviertel. We plan to draw attention to the large number of vacant properties and generate innovative concepts for their continued use to facilitate living, shopping and working. For the region to become more resilient, we need networked and digitalised companies within the eastern Weinviertel. We plan to particularly focus on the youth in the region when it comes to revitalisation.

A space for work and living

 

In order to become an attractive place to work and live that catches the eye of innovative young entrepreneurs, we first need to offer promising conditions for people who want to set up their own business. In response, we plan to introduce new forms of work in rural areas to reduce commuting out of the region. We hope to prove to companies that the Weinviertel is a great place to set up shop!

Tourist experiences

 

Our region has plenty to offer tourists, but its potential remains largely unlocked. With this in mind, we plan to take action to bolster the recognition of our region as a top destination for wine, leisure, cycling and hiking. To achieve this, we will focus on strong marketing within the region and beyond as well as improving tourist infrastructure. Launching innovative tourism projects will help our region to flourish.

Kostbares Weinviertel

 

We aim to transform the eastern Weinviertel into Austria’s number one region for consuming and experiencing high-quality specialities and products from top innovative companies in the region. This also involves driving innovation within the region, quality certification along with initiatives to promote (cross-sector) partnerships. We have launched the KOSTBARES Weinviertel initiative to pursue this aim. More information can be found here.
