Chill-out zone Schönkirchen-Reyersdorf

In Schönkirchen-Reyersdorf, a social space analysis revealed that there is a lack of suitable meeting places for young people aged 14 to 16. In response, the municipality launched a participation process to work together with the youth to design an appropriate spot. The young people’s wish was clear: a covered seating area for gathering and chatting. The former sports field was chosen as the ideal location—right next to the pump track facility. The new meeting point is intended not only to provide space for interaction and exchange, but also to involve young people who have so far been less active in community life.
