Pillichsdorf Master Plan – Neighbourhood Development in the Town Centre

Fünf Personen präsentieren bei einer Veranstaltung den Beteiligungsprozess und Masterplan „Zukunft Pillichsdorf“. Im Hintergrund ist eine Präsentationsfolie mit einer Illustration des Ortszentrums zu sehen.
Teilnehmende diskutieren bei einem Workshop zum Masterplan Pillichsdorf in Kleingruppen über die zukünftige Ortsentwicklung. Im Raum sind Pläne, Luftbilder und Arbeitsmaterialien auf Tischen und Pinnwänden verteilt.
Eine Gruppe erarbeitet bei einem Workshop gemeinsam Ideen für den Masterplan Pillichsdorf und hält ihre Vorschläge auf einem großen Plakat fest. Im Hintergrund sind Luftbilder des Ortszentrums zu sehen.

The market municipality of Pillichsdorf carried out a comprehensive development process for the future of its town centre together with local residents, associations, the parish, political representatives and other regional stakeholders. The main focus was on vacancy management, revitalisation of the town centre and climate-resilient local development.

As part of an extensive participation process, existing challenges were analysed, ideas were collected and concrete future perspectives for the town centre were developed. Special attention was given to the meaningful use of vacant buildings and open spaces, the creation of new forms of use and the enhancement of public spaces. In addition, measures for traffic calming, unsealing of surfaces and greening of the town centre were developed in order to sustainably improve the quality of public space and strengthen the town centre as a place to live, work and meet.

The project therefore makes an important contribution to the long-term preservation of a vibrant town structure and to improving the quality of life in Pillichsdorf. The results were compiled in the “Masterplan Pillichsdorf”, which serves as a strategic basis for the future development of the municipality.
